Week 6 – GLOlympics

This week GSA goes out with a bang! Campers competed in both group and individual Olympic events like cross-country running, sprints and obstacle courses. In our down time campers participated in a friendly reading challenge! Congrats to Ms. Heidy’s 3rd grade group for reading over 400 minutes this week. In recognition of everyone’s dedication to fun we surprised campers with a Field Trip to Century 16 in downtown SF for a very special viewing of “The Secret Life of Pets”. Have a great rest of the summer campers and see you next year!

Week 5 – Splash Week

Splash week was a hit! Campers got their fins wet at the San Leandro Aquatic Center, and the fun didn’t stop there. We put on our thinking caps to construct boats out of recycled materials and used our creative brains to make beautiful patterns with fish and ferocious shark teeth! Rawr… Last but not least, campers begin a friendly reading competition to see which class can read the most minutes. Stay tuned next week to find out the winning group!
